Desiccant Canisters are used during the preconditioning step of every Air Plasma Sterilization® cycle to remove excess moisture from the air inside the sterilization chamber. This helps provide the ideal relative humidity prior to the sterilizing step, providing consistent sterilization results irrespective of ambient relative humidity and environmental conditions.
Desiccant Canisters contain blue indicating silica gel, which changes color from blue to pink as it becomes saturated, providing a visual indication of when the Desiccant Canister is reaching the end of its usable life.
