Jenny Gibbons, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia and Analgesia)
Graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Ridgetown College and became a Registered Veterinary Technician that same year. Initially worked in research then made the transition to emergency medicine at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Always having an interest in anesthesia, when a position opened up in the surgery department at the VEC, eagerly took the opportunity. In 2007, obtained the Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Anesthesia & Analgesia. Jenny also worked as an anesthesia RVT at Central Toronto Veterinary Referral Clinic, Ontario Veterinary College, and taught in the Veterinary Technology program at Georgian College. She most recently, worked with Dr. Seanna Swayne at Golden Horseshoe Veterinary Surgery, traveling to different general practice veterinary clinics to provide anesthesia for surgical cases. Jenny is currently pursuing her own business called Vet Anesthesia Aid, providing anesthesia case management for ‘higher risk’ patients, continuing education, training in anesthesia.
