  • Evening schedule from Monday to Thursday (15h00 to 01h00)

Description of the position:

Dispomed is looking for a production labourer to join the machining department which is more than 15 years old and owns a very recent fleet of machinery which includes 5 CNCs from the HAAS brand including a ST20YSS lathe which is equipped with livetooling and Y axis, VF4SS 4 axes, and programming software.

Here are the different functions of the position:

  • Operate CNC machines (lathe and milling machine)
  • Perform quality control by sampling
  • Operate semi-automatic and manual band saws
  • Deburr metal parts, mainly aluminum, by deburring them
  • Read and interpret our technical drawings
  • Prepare the parts for surface treatment (painting and plating)

Description of qualifications:

  • Education
    • High school diploma completed (DES)
    • Other training in a manual trade (asset)
  • Experience:
    • Experience as a production day labourer (asset)
    • Relevant experience in an industrial environment
  • Language skills:
    • Functional English communication, both spoken and written (asset) – documentation
  • Technical skills:
    • Ease of measurement calculation and geometry
    • Ability to read assembly plans and specifications
    • Past involvement with continuous improvement teams related to machining (asset)
  • Profile desired:
    • Collaborative spirit and team player
    • Meticulousness, attention to detail
    • Desire to optimize working methods
    • Good condition and physical endurance
    • Interests in mechanics, technology, and industry
